Paella at the Ranch

To start The Spanish Table series, Elizabeth Poett and I hosted 'Paella on the Ranch' a day at Rancho San Julian to celebrate the end of Summer.

We used the season's produce to create a Sunday traditional meal: Gazpacho, Paella on a long table under the vines, while we learnt the history of the Rancho San Julian. We tasted Albariño grown by Pierre La Barge, few miles north from miles north. and sat at the table decorated with zinnias growing crazy around the garden, and linens by Fold.

This was a dreamy afternoon for us and our guests, the sobremesa lingered with chats on the table after the meal. The opportunity to share Spanish food in such a pretty location is what gathering should look like.
