Reignite your passions and creativity, and discover the Spanish way of life.
Join our Mediterranean Fall Retreat
As the busy rhythm of daily life consumes our energy, we invite you to dive into rural Mallorca.
The calm of autumn approaches, the landscapes on the island have flourished with the early rains, little ferns grow on the stone walls and the smell of burning wood fills the air…
We will gather around the table to celebrate the season surrounded by nature, and take in the rhythm of the Mediterranean and its fascinating ancient methodologies, along with passionate makers and dedicated artisans.

This 6 day/ 5 night retreat will be an intimate cultural immersion. We will host you in the most incredible location surrounded by pristine nature, and guide you through a journey that will stimulate your senses, while you get to experience an unforgettable invigorating discovery trip of the island.
Revive your energy, create memories, all while returning to yourself and connecting deeply. You only have to get to Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). From there, we will take care of the rest.
We are putting the finishing touches to a magical fall itinerary devoted to Mallorca’s culinary culture right after the olive harvest. The dry stone walls on which the olive trees grow on the Sierra Tramuntana and the countryside around our home in the mountains, will inspire our journey on and around the island, through celebratory meals, gentle walks and delicious cooking sessions outdoors.
Activities
the retreat includes…
A gentle welcome hike to a cove, to disconnect from the city by the sea, and indulge in the natural wealth
this place has to offer.
An exploration of the ancient olive tree groves and olive oil production, discovering fascinating methodologies from the old Mediterranean.
A wine tasting experience in the vineyards, while we slowly cook on the open fire a meal of pure indulgence and enjoy enriching discussions about Mediterranean culture and traditions.
A visit to a local artisan and a hands-on workshop to learn how to shape your own pieces to take home. Using traditional production methods and finding your unique self while working with your hands and inspiring natural materials.
Frequent Spanish cooking sessions with your hosts, using foraged ingredients and gathered seasonal produce, to enjoy by the fire.
An incredible collection of experiences carefully crafted to
make you fall in love with Spain’s cultural and natural heritage.
This Mediterranean Retreat is open to 10 guests only,
and is hosted by me, Carmen Ruiz de Huidobro.
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Madrid. After I graduated from an International Business Degree I studied at Parsons School of Design in New York. Throughout the years I worked as an assistant art director and set designer on films, music videos and commercials.
After settling in Los Angeles in 2008, my travel experiences and starting a family made me long for a closer interaction with my heritage, so I created Españolita to house my vision and contribute some way to the conservation of Spain's rich cultural and natural heritage. Thus I created transformational travel experiences that could do exactly that, while moving travelers at a deeper level.
